Each active Holy Place has its traditional date for celebration. Pope Francis has however designated September 1st as World Day of Prayer for Creation. In accord with this, close to that date we will organise a National Day of Celebration of the Earth. Participating sites will be invited to mark the occasion in some simple way. Those who cannot travel to a site could simply stand in their own garden and pray in solidarity with others across the country. The Day of Celebration this year is the weekend of October 15th & 16th when there will be live streaming of Prayers from some Holy Places. This will be followed by a Sacred Concert in Knock Basilica titled The Story of Love, live streamed globally on www.clicktopray.org. The Concert has the same themes as Loving Sister Earth. It opens with a multimedia presentation of the origins of Creation, and asks, ‘Was this also the birth of Love?’ The finale features the audience singing with choirs from across the world a song titles, ‘We Believe It’s All About Love!’ For more on this Concert and for ticket information, visit www.storyofloveshow.com.
